Eligible first home buyers pay ZERO STAMP DUTY on land in the City of Salisbury + save a further $15K with the First Home Owners Grant. Check your eligibility below.

What is stamp duty?

Stamp duty is a tax payable when you purchase a home, apartment, or vacant land.

The amount of stamp duty is calculated based on the value of the land. However, if you are a first home buyer, there is good news…

The South Australian State Government has announced stamp duty relief for First Home Buyers, on new builds.

Vacant land below $400,000 = zero stamp duty

For new builds below $650,000 = zero stamp duty

  • This includes a new home, unit, townhouse, apartment, off-the-plan apartment, house and land packages

For new homes between $650,001 to $700,000 = partial stamp duty relief (refer to table for savings amounts here)

+ eligible buyers can save a further $15,000 with the First Home Owners Grant. Find out more here >

The stamp duty relief is applicable to contracts signed on or after the 15th June 2023.
